1. Famous Houston panadería chain to open first San Antonio bakery. El Bolillo Bakery, a Space City institution since 1998, will open at 9440 W Interstate 10 in late 2026, bringing more than 150 varieties of pan dulce baked fresh each day.

3. San Antonio brewery to close Hemisfair taproom amid construction woes. Downtown San Antonio’s ongoing construction woes are forcing a Hemisfair bar to close its doors. In a frank announcement, Künstler Brewing said it is closing its Tap Haus offshoot on Saturday, October 18.
