1. San Antonio's Thomas J. Henry loses spat over Corpus Christi arena. San Antonio celebrity lawyer Thomas J. Henry has lost his contentious battle to secure the naming rights to Corpus Christi’s American Bank Center, and the coastal landmark won’t be bearing his name any time soon.
2. New shopping center to open with popular taqueria in north San Antonio. A new $2.2 million far north San Antonio development has already signed on several concepts, including headliner Tia’s Taco Hut. Construction is expected to begin this fall.
3. New Stone Oak shopping center lures 3 favorite chains to San Antonio. A new far north-central San Antonio development is set to bring three quick-service restaurants to the city. Stone Oak Mercantile will feature the Alamo City’s first Crust Pizza Co., known for its tavern-style pies, along with new locations for Chick-fil-A and Black Rock Coffee.
4. New Italian restaurant says ciao to luxe San Antonio River Walk hotel. An upscale San Antonio hotel is looking to give its guests a taste of “la dolce vita.” Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk has opened a new Italian restaurant, Moda Fare, serving house-made pasta, antipasti, and gourmet pizza.

5. San Antonio greenlights swanky new shopping center on Broadway. High-end shopping center Broadway East (BESA) cleared a significant hurdle when the city’s Historic and Design Review Commission gave the go-ahead to move a historic house necessary for the project to break ground.
