UDDERLY DELIGHTFUL
San Antonio nonprofit rustles up citywide cow-art scavenger hunt

San Antonio’s Christus Children’s Foundation is drafting local Alamo City adventure hunters for a legend-dairy scavenger hunt. As part of its 2025 CowParade fundraiser, the nonprofit is giving big prizes to locals who visit at least seven bovine sculptures scattered throughout the city.
In mid-June, the foundation debuted over 70 hand-painted cows displayed at popular San Antonio spots like Pearl, The Shops at La Cantera, The Alamo, Briscoe Western Art Museum, and more. The artsy heifers sport coats mimicking pies, the city skyline, cactus fields, and even tattoo flash art.
The herd will eventually raise funds for the organization, which provides vital medical care for needy injured or sick children. On September 25, the sculptures will be sold off during a high-steaks (sorry) auction. Tickets will be available soon through Christus’ website.
Scavenger hunters will be eligible for prizes, including a gift pack filled with memorabilia and local gift cards and an exclusive meet-and-greet with one of the CowParade artists.
To enter, San Antonians must visit at least seven of the creative cattle sculptures. After snapping a selfie with the cows, they should follow the nonprofit on Instagram and tag all photos with @ChristusChildrens and CowParadeSATX. Those with social media shyness can also upload pictures through an online form.
“This unforgettable event brings art, joy, and public engagement together — all while supporting critical pediatric care and investing in the health of our future generations,” says Dennis E. Nixon, President and Executive Director of presenting sponsor IBC Foundation, in a news release.
The CowParade San Antonio Scavenger Hunt will graze across the city until August 15. A map of all the sculptures is available online.
