Where to sip warm drinks — and stay cozy — in San Antonio this season
It might not snow here, but we've already pulled out our wool sweaters and down puffer coats. Since we can't stay curled up on thecouch all winter long, we've compiled a list of spots in San Antonio to get your cozy on. Some with alcohol and some without, here's where to find the best hot drinks to stay warm.
Bohanan's Prime Steaks and Seafood
Locals know that Bohanan's boasts more than rib eye and lobster with its robust wine and whiskey menus. The restaurant does the classics right, so ask your bartender for a hot toddy or Irish coffee (or both) and make yourself at home in the warm lounge area. Bohanan's never disappoints.
Indy Coffee Co
This new, hipster-cool coffee shop has creative hot coffee drinks that should not be missed while it's still cold outside. You can't go wrong with any of Indy's hot drinks, but our favorite is the cinnamon toast crunch latte made with sweet cereal-infused milk — tastes like the excitement of a third-grader on a snow day.
Larder
Hotel Emma's super quaint boutique grocery store mixes up a mean hot chocolate. The best part? The house-made marshmallow on top.
Local Coffee
Local Coffee has more than a good cup of coffee. The hot chocolate is a must-have on a cold crisp day. Made with real chocolate, it's creamy and semi-sweet.
Mi Tierra Cafe
Mi Tierra is the place to go for comida Mexicana and the best Mexican hot chocolate. Mi Tierra concocts a warm cup of cocoa with real chocolate, cinnamon, and a big dollop of whipped cream. One sip and you'll forever be hooked.
Olmos Perk
This cute neighborhood coffee shop offers the tastiest chai latte in the city. Spicy, sweet, and creamy, the chai is warming and extremely flavorful.
Paramour
The rooftop bar recently added coffee and espresso drinks to its menu with extended morning hours. Whether you're down to warm up with a whiskey cocktail or a cup of joe, Paramour sets the tone for a cozy atmosphere with a beautiful view of our city.
