CommonWealth Coffeehouse & Bakery
CommonWealth Coffeehouse & Bakery is tres charmant with French-bohemian decor, patisserie, juices, and coffee drinks. Nestled in a little house, CommonWealth provides a relaxing and comfortable experience ideal for a day date, meeting, or just a good cup of jo.
This coffee shop first began as a coffee truck, serving hot and cold drinks window-side. The brick-and-mortar shop by University of Texas at San Antonio opened recently, showcasing serious creativity with a Texas-hipster vibe, cereal-milk lattes, and (of course) the classics. The baristas take their coffee seriously with cool foam designs and a perfect brew.
With three locations and expansion to a fourth set to open by 2016, Local Coffee lives up to the hype. It's trendy without losing focus on the coffee beans, serving Merit Coffee (a local San Antonio roaster), Madcap, Stumptown, and more. In addition to brewing and pressing some of the best coffee in town, Local Coffee proudly serves Bakery Lorraine pastries, quiches, and cookies.
Mildfire Coffee Roasters
Mildfire Coffee Roasters has all the right tools for a quaint coffee shop: smart baristas who know a thing or two about latte art and French-pressed coffee, and a cozy ambiance that makes you want to stay awhile.
Located in the delightful Olmos Park neighborhood is this equally cute coffee shop. The coffee is superb, but other drinks — like the hot chocolate and chai latte — rank high on our list. Olmos Perk also dishes out sweet and savory treats.
You'll feel right at home at Press Coffee, the quintessential coffee house. Nestled in a charming abode, Press Coffee brews (and presses) coffee drinks with cool designs. Press also serves savory breakfast tacos and sweet eats from Bakery Lorraine.
This coffee spot is simply cool. With a vast tea selection, tasty coffee drinks, and delicious snacks created in-house, you won't want to just grab-and-go at Rosella Cofee. The open space is designed for meetings and productivity with ample seating downstairs and a cozy loft upstairs.
