At this installment of the museum's inventive Cocktails & Culture series, guests can tour the new H-E-B Body Adventure, powered by University Health System, while unwinding with libations provided by Alamo Beer, Bending Branch Winery, and Alamo Distilling Company. Animal Defense League of Texas and Alamo City Pit Bull Rescue will delight guests with therapy pups and Transcend Health Spa will offer a free yoga class on the Serenity Floor. Tickets for this 21-plus event are $15, and activities begin at 6:30 pm.

Join Piatti at The Quarry for an evening of delicious food and drink from the truffle-centric Umbria region of Italy. Curated by chef Bryan Rojas and Piatti’s beverage director, Matt Collett, the evening will include savory samples of Umbrian dishes perfectly paired with wines and liquors from the region, known as “the green heart” of Italy. The event begins at 7 pm, and limited tickets are $45.

Monktoberfest 2018 at The Hoppy Monk
Finally, an excuse to pull out your lederhosen. The Hoppy Monk is throwing a huge two-day Oktoberfest celebration in true German fashion with traditional beers, Bavarian food, and a ceremonial wooden keg tapping. The fest begins at 11 am on Saturday and rages on until midnight on Sunday. Show up in your best Oktoberfest-themed costume and compete to win a $75 gift card for best costume. The event will also feature live music and of course, your favorite brews from The Hoppy Monk’s eclectic selection.

Liquor, Beer & Wine Fest at Freeman Coliseum, Expo Hall B
The largest event of its kind, this epic tasting event showcases over 500 different libations, as well as expert crafters, distillers, and vintners from around the world. Attendees can explore the almost endless offerings while also enjoying light bites from over 30 of San Antonio’s finest eateries. The fest will also feature a high-stakes casino, dozens of raffles, prizes, and a poker tournament. Early bird tickets — on sale until September 28 — are $80, and regular admission is $90.

Eighth Annual Parktoberfest at Brachenridge Park
Celebrate Texas' German heritage and learn the history of the 100-year-old Koehler Pavilion at this free family-friendly festival. Enjoy traditional German eats, craft beer and live entertainment from 3-6 pm at the Koehler Pavilion.
