New luxury hotel and residences coming to San Antonio's Museum Reach
A new San Antonio development aims to elevate accommodations in the city's Museum Reach district. San Antonio's first Thompson Hotel, along with the luxury Arts Residences, will break ground this summer at 123 Lexington Ave.
Located on the River Walk, across from the Tobin Center for Performing Arts, the hotel and residences are developed by DC Partners and San Antonio-based Universal Service Group.
"We are excited about the opportunity to bring world-class luxury to San Antonio," says Roberto Contreras, president and CEO of DC Partners, in a release. "This will be a distinguished development, especially for those seeking an exceptional lifestyle steeped in the arts, culture, and creativity."
The 337,000-square-foot tower, designed by Powers Brown Architecture, houses 167 hotel rooms, a riverfront restaurant, and the exclusive residences. The Thompson Hotel will be located on floors 1-11; The Arts Residences will occupy floors 12-19. Entrance to the hotel and the condos will be separate.
The residences will feature 66 individual condos and five penthouses with 20-plus floor plans. Some of the condos can be combined into suites, depending on buyers' needs. Amenities include 24-hour concierge, 24-hour in-room dining, fitness center, spa, and massive pool deck complete with a bar.
The project will break ground this summer; construction is expected to be complete in 2019. A sales gallery inside the Tobin Center's administrative building opens May 11; residences are listed with Kuper Sotheby's International Realty.
