Nordstrom Rack rings up new San Antonio store for next fall

San Antonio's fourth Nordstrom Rack will also be on the north side of the city.
As things in San Antonio cool down, folks are ready to put away some summer clothes for a more brisk wardrobe. But replacing essentials doesn't need to involve fast fashion — or a huge budget — if shoppers are willing to look among the well-organized overstock.
Amazingly, San Antonio's fourth Nordstrom Rack is in the works, also due on the broader north side of the city. Shoppers farther south will have to spend a little more in gas to get there, but the savings should still add up. This news comes just weeks after the opening of a location at Northwoods shopping center.
The new location, which is a bit smaller (but still big) at 25,000 square feet, will be at the Bandera Pointe shopping center off of Loop 1604 and Bandera Road. This announcement, though, does not come with a party, since the opening date has not been determined. It is estimated to open in fall of 2024.
Like an outlet (but technically an off-price division), Nordstrom Rack sells much of the same merchandise as the luxury department store — in fact, 90 percent of the brands cross over, per a previous release. New items come in on a weekly basis.
Here shoppers can buy Nordstrom products at up to a 70 percent discount, although these stores also buy some items directly that never even touch Nordstrom's shelves. (Nordstrom Rack even has its own clearance section, for deep, deep discounts and usually more basic finds.)
Some of the brands carried at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack include:- Levi’s
- Madewell
- Topshop
- Dr. Martens
- On Running
- New Balance
- Sam Edelman
"We look forward to opening this new Nordstrom Rack location in San Antonio, strengthening our network of stores, and introducing new customers to Nordstrom Rack's unique product offering," said Senior Vice President of Nordstrom Rack Stores Carl Jenkins in the new release. "In addition to shopping great brands at great prices, our customers in San Antonio can take full advantage of this convenient new location to pick-up online orders and make returns."
When the new store arrives, visitors can fold in their clothes shopping to their other errands in the center, at stores like Lowe's, Target, TJ Maxx, Ross, Ulta Beauty, and Old Navy.
