1. Saucy San Antonio chicken restaurant flies the coop after 4 months. After a scant four months in business, casual-service newcomer Saucy Birds has raised the white flag. In a social media statement, chef and owner Ceasar Zepeda said he has decided not to renew the lease on the Fredericksburg Road building he has occupied for almost eight years.

The Alamo City added about 22,000 residents from July 1, 2022, to July 1, 2023, according to the U.S. Census Bureau's Vintage 2023 Population Estimates.
