Where to Stay
This Hill Country gem is one of America's best bed-and-breakfasts
Looking for a quaint, quiet getaway? One of the best in the country is in our own backyard.
Fredericksburg's Magnolia House ranks among the top 25 bed-and-breakfasts and inns in the U.S., according to TripAdvisor's 2016 Travelers' Choice awards.
The travel website recently released the honorees of the annual list, determined by millions of reviews and opinions from savvy travelers. The hallmarks of these notable spots, says TripAdvisor, are remarkable service, quality, and value. Magnolia House, No. 25 among U.S. B&Bs, delivers it all.
Located only seven blocks from Fredericksburg's enchanting — and bustling — Main Street, the historic 1923 cottage was fully restored in 1991. The quiet home features five unique guest rooms and boasts a daily two-course breakfast served by owners Claude and Lisa Saunders.
"Magnolia House is rated as the No. 1 B&B in Fredericksburg for a reason — utterly charming," a recent guest gushes. "We really appreciate the thoughtfulness and hospitality and will definitely stay here again," writes another.
The Fredericksburg favorite offers rates from an affordable $135 per night, which includes that gourmet breakfast and plenty of Hill Country charm.
