Acclaimed San Antonio chef shells out deals during Lobster Week event
Even though San Antonio is enjoying a relatively mild summer, it’s a far cry from the idyllic climes of the New England coast. But at least local chef Jason Dady is offering some air-conditioned fantasy as the city hits peak heat.
For the first time in three years, the enterprising Chef Dady is kicking off Lobster Week at three of his restaurants. From July 26 to August 4, guests can enjoy a four-course shellfish feast at Tre Trattoria, Jardin, and Range for an affordable price.
Each of the eateries will have distinctive menus that include three lobster-based courses, a dessert. Among the temptations are lobster claw risotto in a Tuscan herb crema, potato gnocchi with Maine lobster tail, and herb-crusted Maine lobster tail a la plancha with pearl couscous.
Though the desserts will not showcase the coveted crustacean, they will be equally rich. The features include white chocolate cheesecake at Range, the signature Nutella X3 dessert at Tre Trattoria and olive oil cake at Jardín. Optional house spritzes are listed on each menu to pair with the meal.
The full prix fixe only costs $45 per person — a far cry from some of the more eye-popping seafood prices around town. Wine pairings cost an additional $25 per plate and the spritzes are $12. Tax and gratuity are not included, so throw servers some extra cash. Lobster for everyone!
Once the promotion is over, diners can return to their regularly scheduled summer diet of smoked meats and sides. Guests who take part in Lobster Week at all three restaurants will receive a $25 gift card to Two Bros. BBQ Market.
Reservations are encouraged and can conveniently be made via the Jason Dady Restaurants site. Lobster bibs are optional, but hey, it’s a flex.
