Top San Antonio chefs suit up for ultimate tailgate showdown
Titans of Tailgate returns February 1.
San Antonio food lovers and football fans are gearing up for the ninth annual Titans of Tailgate, as chef Jason Dady joins forces with Culinaria to host the ultimate grilling throwdown. The fan-favorite afternoon blends tailgate spirit with chef-driven creativity, pitting culinary professionals against one another in high-energy competition.
Dady, known as much for his cheeky sense of humor as his innovative cooking, frequently hosts culinary events around town and will lead the charge alongside a lineup of notable San Antonio chefs, including PJ Edwards of Meadow Neighborhood Eatery, Berty Richter of Ladino, Esaul Ramos of 2M Smokehouse, and Nicola Blaque of The Jerk Shack, among others.
Hosted by Culinaria, the nonprofit dedicated to celebrating San Antonio’s food and wine scene, Titans of Tailgate offers a mix of live entertainment, chef-driven bites, and tailgate fun. The event has grown into a staple of the city’s culinary calendar, providing food enthusiasts a chance to mingle with local chefs, sample inventive dishes, and cheer on their favorites as they compete for glory.
As with past Titans of Tailgate events, proceeds from ticket sales go directly towards funding culinary education initiatives in San Antonio high schools, from providing funds for equipment to money for more opportunities for students interested in pursuing a career in the food and beverage industry.
Dady has multiple restaurants around San Antonio, including Tre Trattoria, Roca & Martillo, Two Bros. BBQ, Umai Mi, and more. His latest ambitious project, Mexico Ceaty in downtown’s Shops at Rivercenter, is slated to debut this April.
Titans of Tailgate takes place from 1-4 pm on February 1, at The Rock at La Cantera at 1 Spurs Way. Tickets for attendees under 21 are $50 each, general admission tickets are $85, and VIP tickets are $150. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here.
