San Antonio Spurs draft Taco Palenque to Frost Bank Center lineup
Taco Palenque is opening its Frost Bank Center kiosk on January 15.
With playoff hopes already rising for the 2025-2026 season, the San Antonio Spurs have scored another big win. Taco Palenque is joining the lineup at Frost Bank Center on Thursday, January 15.
Fans can find the concession stand in Section 124 on the Plaza Level, where it will join Whataburger and Jack Daniel's Bar. The menu will be smaller than Taco Palenque’s usual restaurants (sorry, no salsa bar), but will still feature arena-friendly bites like tacos, burritos, Panchitos, and chips and guacamole. The snacks will be available at all home games.
While the Silver and Black faithful will have to wait until the end of the game to see if the Spurs best the Milwaukee Bucks, a grand opening deal will give them reason to cheer. The stand will be passing out coupons redeemable for a free taco at any other Taco Palenque location.
This isn’t the first time the Spurs have teamed up with the Texas chain. In 2024, the Spurs named Taco Palenque the official fresh Mexican partner. Since then, the two have collaborated on several occasions — most recently on a keepsake cup available with any purchase of a Coyote Combo Meal Deal.
“Since launching in 2024, we’ve seen Spurs fans respond incredibly well to our partnership with Taco Palenque, so we’re excited for the opportunity to tap into that excitement and integrate this crossover into our culinary experience at Frost Bank Center,” said Frank Miceli, chief commercial officer for Spurs Sports & Entertainment, in a release.
Taco Palenque currently has 46 locations across the state, mostly in Central Texas and the Valley, and 13 outposts in San Antonio. It specializes in quick service Mexican fare like enchiladas, parilladas, and breakfast tacos sold at affordable prices.
"We’re proud to expand our partnership with the San Antonio Spurs and bring Taco Palenque to the Frost Bank Center," Taco Palenque founder Juan Francisco “Don Pancho” Ochoa said in a statement. "Fresh, authentic Mexican food is at the heart of what we do, and we’re excited to share that experience with fans on game day."
