Sprouts Farmers Market sets opening date for first New Braunfels store

Sprouts Farmers Market will open its first New Braunfels store in January 2026.
The long-anticipated debut of New Braunfels' first Sprouts Farmers Market finally has a date. The natural grocery chain says it will open at Town Center at Creekside (275 Creekside Crossing) on January 23, 2026.
The Phoenix, Arizona-based grocer, known for its assortment of healthier goods, has been rapidly growing in Texas, challenging Texas giants like Whole Foods and Central Market on their home turf. Sprouts operates more than 44 stores nationwide, but Texas is one of its strongholds with locations in Dallas-Fort Worth, Kyle, Corpus Christi, Leander, and Bastrop on deck.
The grocer started in California as a roadside farm stand before growing into a statewide chain of farmers' markets. Later, it blossomed into a brick-and-mortar grocery, keeping its focus on delivering a wide assortment of organic produce, bulk foods, and vitamins and supplements at affordable prices.
That budget-friendly proposition, plus effective social media marketing, has helped it become a favorite with customers aged 18 to 34. According to industry publication Supermarket News, Zoomers and younger Millennials are Sprout's fastest-growing customer base.
Like the other national locations, local Sprouts stores are committed to minimizing food waste through Sprouts' Food Rescue program, an initiative to donate edible groceries that are no longer for sale. The chain also partners with food insecurity nonprofits.
Ahead of the January opening, Sprouts is hosting a job fair at the Embassy Suites San Marcos Hotel Conference Center, 1001 E. McCarty Ln, in San Marcos. The two-day event takes place on December 10 from 8 am-6 pm and on December 11 from 8 am-noon.
Elsewhere, Sprouts is planning a San Antonio expansion with a fourth store at 13455 Culebra Rd. #118. That location is expected to be ready by the end of 2026.
