COMING ATTRACTIONS
Singhs Vietnamese eyes San Antonio expansion on Northwest Side

Singhs Vietnamese appears to be opening a new location.
San Antonio’s Noodle Tree has only been closed for a few days, but the Northwest Side storefront won’t be vacant long. Singhs Vietnamese is taking over the space at 114 UTSA Boulevard #101, according to “coming soon” signs taped to the door.
The signs, first noticed by MySA and independently confirmed by CultureMap, do not give an estimated opening date. Singhs has mostly been tight-lipped on social media but did tease photos of the signs on its Instagram Reels.
Founders Eric Treviño and Louis Singh first opened Singhs as a North Side food truck before making the leap to a St. Mary’s Strip food truck in 2018. Since then, it has become one of Alamo City’s most popular restaurants for bún, rice bowls, bánh mì, and Winghs — fried chicken wings tossed in Thai chili butter with sesame seeds, slice jalapeño, lime, and cilantro..
In May 2025, the restaurant returned to its northern roots to open Singhs Cantina, a long-awaited new concept that had been in the works since 2023. The mostly outdoor hotspot riffed off the original menu, serving bowls and sandwiches, bar snacks like chips and queso and spicy cucumbers, and a full cocktail menu.
The newest location comes on the heels of Noodle Tree’s January 11 closing. Chef and owner Mike Nguyen, who learned his craft under famous California chef and Tv personality Wolfgang Puck, closed the six-year-old ramen shop to better focus on his battle with blood cancer.
A request for more information was not returned in time for publication. We will update this story if Singhs provides any further details about the opening timeline.
