Opening alert
Revolutionary San Antonio juice and coffee shop whirls into The Rim
Shoppers and moviegoers at The Rim development will soon have a new option for a healthy bite to eat. Cofounder Manny Carral tells CultureMap that he is working on a new location of Revolución Coffee + Juice at 5846 Worth Pkwy., Bldg. 1 next-door to TruFusion.
According to Carral, the estimated opening date is still flexible. He does say he expects to debut the third San Antonio location of this mini-chain in the first half of 2020.
Like the other outposts of Revolución, The Rim shop will feature quality coffee and cold-pressed juices along with plant-based snacks like acai, pitaya, and matcha bowls filled with fruit, nut butter, almond milk, seeds, and other superfoods and grab-and-go foods like tacos, salads, and sandwiches.
The new Revolución will also feature a selection of beers and wines. Carral also says the team will be adding additional items to the food menu, although he did not share the exact menu.
Carral and wife Angela opened Revolución in 2012 as San Antonio’s first raw cold-pressed juice shop and have since become very busy entrepreneurs. In 2015, they continued their healthy mission with a retail concept inside San Antonio Running Company, which carries the packaged juices along with training gear.
In 2016, they expanded the brand to hot Houston neighborhood the Heights. A second San Antonio outlet followed in May 2018 in the former home of Moshe’s Golden Falafel at 300 E. Houston St. downtown.
