San Antonio's best bars band together for Hurricane Harvey relief benefit
A whopping 55 San Antonio bars are joining forces for a cocktail drive to raise funds for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
The Help Texas fundraiser, taking place at bars across Alamo City on Thursday, August 31, is a joint effort from the U.S. Bartenders' Guild of San Antonio, the local bar community, and Seersucker Southern Style Gin.
During the cocktail drive, bars will serve a special Southside cocktail made with spirits donated by Seersucker. Cocktails start at $7, and the goal is to raise $20,000 for the Hurricane Harvey Bartender Assistance Program. One-hundred percent of proceeds from Southside cocktails will be donated to those affected by the hurricane.
In addition, those who bring food, water, or clothing donations can purchase a cocktail for $5 — in-kind donations ill be delivered to the Texas coast and Houston area by San Antonio-based JARCO Transport.
