January is off to a great start, and our roundup of where to drink this month focuses on your fitness goals. Can you be healthy and imbibe at the same time? The answer is yes. Behold four San Antonio spots that require activity and drinking.

Bowlero
You know you love those rentable shoes. Or not. Either way, bowling is active and fun, particularly when you're winning. At Bowlero, there's a lounge to order whatever your palate craves, and you can also enjoy billiards.

Ride and pedal a 15-person bike and have a drink at the same time. The concept is essentially a three-bar crawl, but with some touristy elements. This party cycle is BYOB, but you won't need it, since you're bar hopping too. See the sights, burn some calories, and drink at amazing San Antonio places. It's a win-win.

Main Event Entertainment
You can choose from over 100 arcade games at Main Event, but the fun doesn't stop there. There's also a ropes course high above the crowds, as well as a multilevel laser tag arena. Grab your crew, choose some games, and get to "active drinking." On our last visit our go-to was red wine, but a full drink menu is available at both San Antonio locations.

Topgolf
Get into the swing of things at Topgolf where you can tee up with your friends and have some much needed fun. Don't yell "fore," because there's no need. Just grab a bucket of beer (or your favorite champagne) and swing away.

Guy Fieri spotlights San Antonio taqueria on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives

Guy Fieri's bowling shirts and frosted tips may be a pop culture punchline, but there's no denying his shows have been a boon for mom-and-pop restaurants. A mere sighting of his 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible can shoot sales through the roof. New in Fieri's good graces is San Antonio's Con Huevos Tacos.

This season, the mayor of Flavortown seems particularly impressed with San Antonio's food scene. A week after featuring RoHo Pork & Bread's signature tortas ahogadas on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives, he's getting a second helping of local flavor.

Fieri will feature the Dignowity Hill hot spot in a December 13 episode, "Just Like Mom," sharing airtime with an Italian joint in San Luis Obispo, California. Although Con Huevos is most known for its tacos, the show will showcase owner Hugo Garcia's quesadilla deshebrada de res.

According to an Instagram post, the filming took place a year ago. The East Side joint invited some of its regulars to participate in the shoot, although behind-the-scenes footage shows that Fieri was not on hand for the reaction shots.

"A very special thanks to some of our favorite customers for participating in filming that special day with us; we're forever grateful," wrote the restaurant.

Fieri has long admired South Central Texas' culinary scene. The very first episode of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives in 2007 featured Tarpley staple Mac & Ernie's Roadside Eatery. Since then, the show has ventured into San Antonio city limits almost two dozen times, featuring icons like The Cove, Dough Pizzeria Napoletana, and Con Huevo's East Side neighbor Dignowity Meats.

Con Huevos, for its part, is no stranger to television screens. In 2022, it was one of three local restaurants — along with Naco Mexican Eatery and El Pastor Es Mi Seño — highlighted on Netflix's docuseries Taco Chronicles. Since then the restaurant has enjoyed enviable lines on weekends.

"Just Like Mom" will air at 8 pm CST on December 13.
