Housed in an Alamo Heights bungalow, A.r.t. Massage stands for "advanced, relaxing, therapeutic." Massage therapists at this little gem are trained in everything from Swedish to sports to prenatal massage and charge a relatively affordable $75 for an hour-long session. In addition to massage, the menu includes facials, nail services, couple's massage, and henna and makeup application. A.r.t. also carries the buzzy Eminence Organics Skincare line in the gift shop.

Eilan Hotel & Spa
When you want to truly disconnect, head to this hotel spa near the foothills of the Texas Hill Country. Complete with all the amenities (think plush robes, infused waters, private terraces, and luxurious products), Eilan Spa offers both in-room experiences for overnight guests and options for those just looking to spend the day getting pampered. Though all the traditional treatments are available, Eilan's professionals can also perform microdermabrasion and brow tinting or create a "lavender cocoon," which is a full body wrap using a warmed lavender balm.

Hiatus Spa + Retreat
One of the best gifts we've ever gotten is a surprise gift certificate to this deluxe retreat with locations across Texas, including one in the Pearl Brewery. Spread across 13 rooms, Hiatus offers traditional services like massages and facials, but also unique offerings like a Vichy Shower and full-body exfoliation (perfect before a pre-vacation trip to the spray tanning salon). Oh, you want to go all out, you say? Book yourself a room at the Hotel Emma, order a bottle of rosé, and take advantage of Hiatus' in-room services.

Spa d'Sante
Literally translating to "the spa for good health," this practice takes a holistic approach to self care. Spa d'Sante therapists use massage, salt glows, hydrotherapies, and mud treatments to reduce stress. Bonus: It's affordable, with rates for massage beginning at $64 for an hour and $119 for two hours.
