Award-winning Texas spa debuts at San Antonio's Pearl district
Looking to get away and relax? You don't have to go far. Hiatus Spa + Retreat opens its first San Antonio location at the Pearl on Tuesday, May 9. The award-winning Texas day spa offers massages, skin treatments, nail therapy, and more.
"Over the past several years, we have gotten to know the city of San Antonio and witnessed the growth of the cultural epicenter that is Pearl. We couldn't be more honored to be a part of this amazing revitalization project," says co-founder Kristin Heaton-Peabody in a release. "As always, our goal is to provide an easy, accessible way to fit regular spa time into any lifestyle, whether guests live at, work at, play at, or visit Pearl."
The 5,000-square-foot retreat, located right next to Hotel Emma, includes 13 treatment rooms, a nail lounge, and separate dressing rooms for women and men. The interior is designed by Clayton & Little and will feature original pieces by Texas artist Jan Heaton.
Founded in Dallas by Heaton-Peabody and Sheila Garrison seven years ago, Hiatus quickly grew to include locations in Austin and Plano. The new San Antonio outpost will make for the fourth spa; a fifth location opens in Houston on May 19.
To celebrate its Alamo City debut, Hiatus is offering discounts through its membership program. Guests at Hotel Emma can also book in-room services (we see a staycation in your future).
