1. Stellar San Antonio high school ranks among America's best in 2024, says U.S. News. One San Antonio high school is dominating U.S. News and World Report's prestigious annual list of the country's best public high schools. The 2024 rankings from U.S. News, released April 23, put BASIS San Antonio - Shavano Campus at No. 64 nationally (up from No. 81 last year and No. 77 in 2022) among the country’s best high schools.
2. 2 San Antonio neighbors relax among best places to retire in the Hill Country. Many people dream of retiring to the Texas countryside and getting away from the big city hustle and bustle, and there are two places in particular that should be on the radar for any retiring San Antonians: Boerne and New Braunfels. The two Hill Country destinations were given the spotlight in a March report that ranked "7 Beautiful Places To Retire In Texas Hill Country" by global travel website TheTravel.

4. Cali winery pours local wines at first Texas tasting room in Fredericksburg. Halter Ranch, originally from Paso Robles, California, is expanding into a 13,000-square food tasting room on a 32-acre patch of land at 8561 US-290 — about 15 minutes east of Fredericksburg's downtown. This is the third location, and the first outside of California.
