San Antonio-based playwright Sheila Rinear puts a fresh spin on the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol with this hilarious full-length production. Father-son duo Ben and Tim Dickens get into the spirit of Christmas in this inspired adaptation at Overtime Theater. Through December 23.

Southwest School of Art presents Articopia Holiday Market
Local artists will showcase unique wares at the free Articopia Holiday Market. Shoppers can peruse finds ranging from clothing and beauty products to holiday decor.
The Historic Pearl presents Tamales! Holiday Festival
The Tamales! Holiday Festival returns for its seventh year of celebrating Christmas, culture, and (of course) tamales. More than 40 tamal makers and San Antonio chefs will join forces to create a smorgasbord of treats. There will also be live tunes and kid-friendly fun.
Silver Bells in the City: Tree Lighting and Ceremony
It's Christmas time in the city. San Antonians of all ages are invited to celebrate the holiday season in the city's Main Plaza. In addition a massive Christmas tree, the San Fernando Cathedral and the Bexar County Courthouse will be adorned with twinkling lights and displays. Families can enjoy carolers, hot chocolate, an appearance from Frozen characters, and more.
