BOOM TOWN
2 major new sports venues near completion in booming New Braunfels

Topgolf will swing into New Braunfels by the end of 2025.
It's no secret that New Braunfels is booming with everything from posh hotels to a multimillion-dollar development downtown. Now, the once-sleepy Hill Country town is adding two huge recreation venues — the area's first Topgolf and The Court House, a sprawling racket sports complex.
Over the past decade, much of the city's growth has pushed toward the Creekside development in northeast New Braunfels, where a slew of chain restaurants, movie theaters, and retail shops pack newly built strip centers. Topgolf is building at 427 Creekside Way, while the Court House will open at 350 Dragoon Xing, barely over a mile away.
Topgolf
According to a press release, Topgolf broke ground on its 14th Texas facility in October 2024, with plans to open by the end of October 2025. New Braunfels realtor Raad Alawan has been tracking the progress through frequent social media updates. The latest shows that only the shell has been completed.
Spanning 38,000 square feet and topping out at two stories, the Creekside complex will be smaller than its big city counterparts, allowing locals fearing large crowds to breathe a bit easier.
Still, the $18 million outpost will have 60 climate-controlled hitting bays outfitted with lounge furniture at each level. The new Topgolf will also include a 216-square-foot video wall, more than 140 HDTVs, mini golf, an area for live music, and a full-service bar and restaurant.
"Topgolf's investment here will offer a great opportunity for residents and visitors to gather, socialize, and have some family-oriented fun," said New Braunfels mayor Neal Linnartz via the release.

The Court House
The long-anticipated Court House, in the near-Creekside Solms Landing development, will be a racket sports hub with courts for both pickleball and padel courts. The entertainment complex was initially slated to open in early 2024 but is now aiming for a fall 2025 debut.
The upcoming attraction will also be tailor-made for families, with a dedicated play area and lawn games. The project will have a sports bar-like atmosphere throughout, with large-screen TVs perfect for catching Sunday football.
Like Topgolf, The Court House makes space for on-site dining. Promotional materials say the restaurant will serve "Texas-inspired cuisine" from a "bistro-style menu." The bar will pour craft cocktails and local beer.
"There are currently not adequate pickleball and padel courts [in New Braunfels], much less a venue that incorporates pickleball, padel, drinks, games, and music on one campus. The Court House offers all of this in a family-friendly atmosphere that everyone can enjoy," said founder Hector Bonilla in the initial project announcement.
Management shares that the sports courts will be installed as soon as July, and the venue as a whole could be completed as early as October. When The Court House debuts, it will offer yet another reason for locals and visitors to spend the day — or the whole weekend — in a city Livability.com recently named one of the best places to live in the United States.
