1. Legendary Hill Country dance hall hits market for $669K. Wondering what to do with your Christmas bonus? Storied Hill Country dance hall Kendalia Halle is now up for sale for $669,000, offering San Antonians the chance to own one of "Ambassador of Texas Music” Gary P. Nunn’s favorite stages.
2. Chef Steve McHugh's Cured to close after 13 years in San Antonio. One of the restaurants that put San Antonio’s Pearl on the culinary map is calling it a day. Chef Steve McHugh’s lauded Cured, one of the anchors of the near-downtown development, has decided not to renew its lease after 13 years in business. The last day of business will be Sunday, January 4.

3. Mad Pecker Brewing to close again after brief San Antonio comeback. After a surprise revival gave San Antonio beer fans a glimmer of hope, Mad Pecker Brewing Co. has once again its doors. In a collaborative post with popular creator As Seen in SA, the Northwest Side brewpub said it would permanently shutter on December 30.
4. Acclaimed San Antonio ramen shop Noodle Tree to close after 6 years. After six years of serving some of San Antonio’s most talked-about ramen, Noodle Tree is closing its doors so its owner can focus on battling blood cancer. The popular shop at 114 UTSA Boulevard #101 will close on January 11, its sixth anniversary.
5. Famous New Haven pizza chain eyes San Antonio expansion. San Antonio is about to get a taste of New Haven, Connecticut. Famous pizzeria Sally’s Apizza, beloved by celebrities like Frank Sinatra and Gwyneth Paltrow, is eyeing San Antonio as part of a 45-restaurant Texas expansion starting in 2026.
