Step inside San Antonio country club's multimillion-dollar renovations

Warm neutrals and blue accents create a cozy feel at Dominion Country Club.
A multimillion-dollar renovation has transformed San Antonio's Dominion Country Club, a fixture in the city since 1984. The project brings modern dining and gathering spaces and significant upgrades to its existing recreational facilities. The club's updated design fuses contemporary finishings with the glamor of Spanish haciendas to enhance the member experience.
The North Side property, owned by golf club operator Arcis Golf, expanded and reconfigured its spaces, using a consistent color palette to unify the spaces. According to a press release, the most striking changes are in Dominion's dining and lounge zones.

The Copper Room, once solely used for banquets, is now the main dining area. Outfitted in inky blues, warm neutrals, and rust tones, the space is unified by richly patterned carpets and textural upholstery. Large panels divide the space into more intimate clusters for private conversation.
Steps away, the 19th Hole bar kept its distinctive stone walls and hand-painted ceiling but reimagined the lounge with pops of navy and terracotta. Jute club chairs hug the four-top tables, while modern stools line up behind a bar tiled with geometric patterns. Behind the bottles, a fretwork collage provides depth.

In addition to the interior upgrades, Dominion Country Club spiffed up its recreational areas. Eight tennis courts were resurfaced, while new pickleball amenities were added. New patio furniture at the junior Olympic-sized pool now offers a more comfortable place to perch.
"We are committed to ensuring the Club remains a primary focus in the San Antonio community by creating a welcoming environment for member connection and relaxation," said Arcis Gold founder and CEO Blake Walker via a release. "These upgrades give the membership even more reasons to embrace this club, including additional opportunities to enjoy the best private club experience in the area."
