San Antonio Zoo's adorable baby lions get superstar treatment from Tony Parker
In an adorable announcement, the San Antonio Zoo revealed the names of three lion cubs as chosen by Spurs legend Tony Parker.
The baby lions are Axelle (after Parker's wife), Josh (after their son), and TP (you get the idea).
A longtime supporter of the San Antonio Zoo, Parker won the chance to name these ferocious felines during a recent charity auction at the Zoobilation Ball fundraising event. In addition to donating money to the local nonprofit, Parker has also served on the zoo's board of directors for the past few years.
To get better acquainted with their namesakes, Parker and his family were allowed into the lion's den to hang out with the 4-month-old cubs last week. "We wanted to do something nice, to donate money to the zoo. To be able to do that and have an experience like that is unbelievable," Parker told NBA.com.
