You're on a diet, but your friends want full-calorie food. What do you do? Well, you hit the spots with a healthy option in addition to those heartier dishes. We know you want more than a grain of salt and a glass of water, and we're here to help.

Bliss
This Southtown institute of food bliss has a few good dieting options in its arsenal. Try the kale Caesar salad, a perfect blend of heirloom tomatoes, goat and ricotta cheese, capers, pumpkin seed, and Parmesan.

Boiler House Texas Grill & Wine Garden
Who knew this steakhouse would offer so many healthy options. Start with the spicy house pickles vegetables, then move on to the char-grilled octopus with watermelon and chorizo dust. We know it will be hard to resist the rest of the menu and drink water, but you must try.

El Mirasol
This beautiful Alon hot spot has a lot of promise. Skip the salad and order the ceviche, which consists of marinated snapper in lemon juice with tomatoes, onions, chilis, and herbs. If you happen to order some chips and queso, it's not our fault. Temptation is everywhere.

Larder
This lovely grab-and-go grocery and restaurant hybrid inside Hotel Emma is perfect for everything you need. Order a cup of homemade soup and salad with a fresh protein like chicken or fish. Take the wine home for next month.

Ruth's Chris Steakhouse
Turns out it's easy to be a vegetarian in a top-notch steakhouse — they have the best veggies ever. Go all in with roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted corn with jalapeño, cremini mushrooms with thyme, and grilled asparagus.
