Spring in Texas means festivals, and few do festivals with more vigor than Plano. The northern Dallas suburb loves a reason to celebrate, whether it's music, art, craft brews, or even fly fishing.

Use this calendar to plan out your fun:

Texas Music Revolution 24 Festival, March 20-21
Promise of the Real frontman Lukas Nelson (he's also Willie's son, by the way) is headlining this two-day festival of Americana, country, and folk music at Oak Point Park and Nature Preserve, put on by KHYI 95.3 The Range. Ray Wylie Hubbard, Eleven Hundred Springs, Walt Wilkins, Ottoman Turks, Radney Foster, Joshua Ray Walker, Squeezebox Bandits, and 40 Acre Mule are also on the lineup. Expect bull riding between sets, as well as a petting zoo and Ferris wheel.

Texas Fly Fishing & Brew Festival, March 21-22
Two things that go together so well: fishing and beer. Meet nationally known fly fishing authors, professional guides, expert casters, custom bamboo rodmakers, and fly tyers from across the country at this one-of-a-kind, family-friendly event in the Plano Event Center. Don't know much about fishing? Learn from the experts as you wander the festival grounds, sampling some of the Lone Star State's best microbrews.

Plano Wine Walk at Willow Bend, March 26
Get your collective glass, then get to tasting 15 boutique wines at participating shops all over The Shops at Willow Bend. From 5:30-8:30 pm, you can also enjoy pop-up vendors, live music, a scavenger hunt, and special shopping discounts. At the end of the event, all attendees will be entered into a raffle drawing for prizes.

Plano Artfest, April 25-26
Artistic inclusiveness, creative curiosities, cultural connection — it's all free at this two-day festival in the Downtown Plano Arts District. Come explore contemporary art installations, performances from local arts groups, a makers market of craftsman and artisans, live art demos, family chalk art, live music, and a kids' zone with bounce houses and so much more.

2nd Annual Plano Race to Brunch 5k & Brunch Fest, April 25
Some people only run if there's something worthwhile at the finish line, and this family-friendly event definitely fits the bill. The 8 am race follows the perimeter of The Shops at Willow Bend, with a mimosa toast and brunch treat waiting at the finish line. Meanwhile, Brunch Fest kicks off at 9 am with a variety of food from delicious Plano restaurants, brunch cocktails, lots of artisans and boutiques, culinary demonstrations lead by Plano chefs and culinary experts, live music, a bubbly brunch photo booth, and lots more. A portion of the event proceeds benefits non-profit partner Triple G Relief.

Salt the Rim, May 2
Taste and dance your way through Cinco de Mayo at Plano's second annual margarita tasting celebration. Guaranteed to transport you to a tequila happy place, where limes, salt, and agave gather to throw one heck of a party.

Plano AsiaFest: "Embracing Love," May 2
Travel East without a passport (or even leaving downtown Plano). Experience the sights, sounds, art, and foods of Asia, with cultural demonstrations, performances, and vendors from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, and many others represented. Listen to live music performed on native instruments, see a vibrant fashion show featuring traditional costumes, and eat lots of tasty cuisine, all at Haggard Park from 10:30 am-5 pm.

Beatles Night, May 9
Join the Fab Four at the Amphitheater at Oak Point Park, and "Let It Be" your favorite night of the year. The spectacular cover band A Hard Night's Day is one of the best-known Beatles cover bands in the North Texas area, having played the Cavern Club and the Kaiserkeller in Hamburg, and recorded in Studio 2 at Abbey Road Studios. Picnic baskets, coolers, blankets, and lawn chairs are welcome, but (sorry) no pets, please.
