The InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk hotel is blooming in April with a new pop-up bar at High Praise Rooftop Bar. Featuring trailing greenery and colorful accents, The Secret Garden Room offers a lush retreat for the upcoming slate of spring celebrations.

The social media-savvy decor amplifies the maximalism with swags of silk wisteria and roses and jewel-tone accessories. A lounge grouping is backdropped by a hedge wall adorned with glistening gilded mirrors.

The curated menu of 10 botanically inspired cocktails keeps the theme with names like Poison Ivy, Morning Sunshine, and Purple Rain. The drinks are as balanced as they are beautiful. The leaf-green melon swirl float — topped with a floating dried flower — tops a Midori and Japanese base with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

The downtown hotel decided to forge ahead with the experience after the success of its previous pop-ups. One roped in a rodeo theme with an adorable cowboy boot mug; another glistened with pink and white Christmas trees and twinkle lights.

“Following the success of our Peppermint Peak and Dusty Diamond pop-ups, we’re thrilled to welcome guests for our next seasonal pop-up at High Praise Rooftop Bar,” says InterContinental San Antonio Riverwalk General Manager Stefan Gruvberger in a release. “The Secret Garden Room is a must-experience activation for guests looking to immerse themselves in garden-inspired decor, vibrant rooftop ambiance, and fresh seasonal cocktails.”

The florid pop-up is open every Thursday through Sunday at 111 E Pecan St. through June 29. Buzzy brands like Kendra Scott, Valentina Paloma, and Texicanas will activate the space throughout its limited-time run. Reservations can be booked online.
