WHERE TO DRINK
Where to drink in San Antonio: 7 spots with Dry January mocktails

Ida Claire will serve a full mocktail menu through January.
Dry January is back, and San Antonio’s restaurant scene is making it easier than ever to skip the booze. From inventive house creations to refreshing twists on classic drinks, these local haunts are serving alcohol-free sips that are just as exciting — and Instagram-worthy — as their cocktail counterparts. Whether you’re looking to detox, stay social, or just try something new, these zero-proof sippers prove you don’t need alcohol to have a good time in the Alamo City.
Box Street All Day
It’s impossible to leave this buzzy brunch spot in a bad mood. The year-round zero-proof menu includes the zingy Endless Summer with Ritual tequila alternative and cayenne, the refreshing Cabana Cooler with Ritual gin, orgeat, and strawberry, and the bubbly Topo Chica.
Hash Vegan Eats
This San Antonio favorite is entirely alcohol-free and 100-percent vegan. Brothers Michael and Rogelio Sanchez created the concept as a movement — “Heal and Spread Healing” — and their menu reflects that mission. Perfect for anyone embracing Dry January, exploring sobriety, or living a sober-curious lifestyle, Hash offers a space where health, flavor, and mindfulness come together.
Haywire
Taking a creative approach to temperance, the La Cantera newcomer is pouring out mocktails like the floral and tangy Hibiscus Haze with prickly pear and citrus, the grapefruit-and-guava Lady Bird, and a refreshing Mojito refresher with cucumber, mint, and ginger ale. The restaurant's special mocktail menu will be available from January 1 through the end of the month.

Hot Joy
Hot Joy’s mocktail menu is as playful and inventive as its boozy, tiki-inspired drinks. Highlights include Wok This Way, a bright mix of pineapple, passionfruit, sparkling water, and orange; Cosmic Fizz, with cherry, coconut, and Coca-Cola; and Dr. Emo, a quirky yet surprisingly delicious blend of ube, coconut, and Dr Pepper. Each drink delivers the same bold flavor and fun-forward approach that defines the River North bar’s signature style.
Ida Claire
For Dry January, this Southern favorite is mixing up nonalcoholic drinks and THC-infused cocktails. The menu includes bright, citrus-forward options like Figgy Smalls, a blend of grapefruit, fig, ginger beer, and lime, and the tropical Hangover Cure with coconut water, orange, pineapple, and vanilla. For guests interested in being “California sober,” cheeky choices include Dazed & Confused, Half Baked, and Wake & Bake. Classic-inspired sips like the French 00 and Ginger Spritz round out the lineup.
Pharm Table
The stylish Southtown haunt keeps teetotaling interesting year-round with a broad range of zero-proof and nonalcoholic options. Highlights include an adaptogen and tonic mix, a kombucha collagen cooler, the Aloe Rita, and the ayurvedic wellness flight — a sampler designed to showcase the bar’s focus on functional ingredients. Each drink balances flavor with wellness, offering a thoughtful alternative to traditional cocktails.
Whiskey Cake
This La Cantera eatery is easing into January with a juice program from New Year's Day to January 31. Opt for a $15 juice flight — a playful lineup of four inventive blends: The Hulk with cucumber for glowing skin, Jessica Wabbit with carrot to boost immunity, Little Pink Drink with grapefruit for antioxidants, and Ruby Slippers with strawberry to reduce inflammation. It’s the perfect post-run club treat.
