Homegrown San Antonio chain dishes free pizza in celebration of new shop
Urban Bricks Pizza, San Antonio's homegrown, build-your-own pizza chain is rolling out a new location in North Star Mall — and celebrating in style. The pizza purveyor is offering free pies to dine-in guests from noon-2 pm during its grand opening on July 21.
Nestled next to Saks Fifth Avenue, Urban Bricks' first-ever mall location offers guests a build-your-own pizza experience, complete with house-made dough (including gluten-free and wheat) and 30 toppings from which to choose.
The pies are then fired up in a custom, Italian-made oven that cooks the pizza in about two minutes. Classic pizza lovers, don't fret; customers can also order from the chain's menu of signature pies crafted by World Pizza Champion Michele D'Amelio.
For those craving something other than pizza (which never happens), Urban Bricks offers build-your-own salads and panini, as well as wings, gelato, and dessert pizzas.
And at Urban Bricks, sauce isn't only on the pizza. The restaurant also has a full bar, beer, wine, and frozen margaritas.
“Whether it be our signature Neapolitan pizza, wings, or craft beer, Urban Bricks North Star Mall is the perfect place for shoppers to take a break and try something new," said Ravi Rupani, managing partner for the North Star shop, in a release.
In addition to dine-in and take out, this location — Urban Bricks' 16th across Texas and Canada — also offers free delivery inside the mall. It remains unclear if that includes department store dressing rooms.
While the free food may get you in the door, Urban Bricks Pizza's grand opening celebration will keep you partying with a live DJ, face painting, and the chance to win free pizza for a year.
