Gourmet french fry franchise flies into San Antonio with 3 locations
French fries: Crispy, delicious, and arguably one of the best culinary creations on the planet. To satisfy your cravings, New York-based chain #getfried Fry Cafe (yes, the hashtag is part of the name) promises fully loaded gourmet fries when it opens not one, not two, but three new outposts in San Antonio.
San Antonio is the first city outside of New York to receive a #getfried location. Offering five different kinds of fries — classic, coated, curly, waffle, and sweet potato — and more than 20 different toppings like savory chili and sweet Nutella, the San Antonio menu will also feature special ingredients and flavors unique to Texas palates.
The first Alamo City spot will be a food truck that is scheduled to roll out later this summer; the two additional locations won't open until 2017. At the helm is San Antonio native and former Subway franchise owner Craig Christopher.
"It's exciting to pioneer the #getfried concept for my hometown of San Antonio and be a part of the explosive growth I expect this brand will see nationwide," said Christopher. "I truly believe this concept will thrive among consumers in San Antonio and other cities because of its quality product and affordable pricing."
In the meantime, hungry San Antonians will have to wait in anticipation for the food truck's loaded fry debut this summer.
