Raise a Glass
Where to drink in San Antonio: 5 hot spots to raise a glass right now
We’re back again with another list of places to add to your rotation as you’re out eating and drinking your way through this great city. Here are five spots — old favorites and new finds — where you should raise a glass this month.
Liberty Bar
There's just something about that beautiful Liberty that keeps us going back for more. Lovely and tasteful are two words that always come together when visiting this gem. If the spring weather has you in the mood for bubbles (has us too), the Marc Hebrart Premiere Cru Rosé won't disappoint.
High Velocity
Located at the JW Marriott, the options are endless at this hot spot. High Velocity scores points with its stunning yet approachable vibe — there are giant screens for game-watching; fab nibbles; and an extensive beer, wine, and cocktail list.
Pat O'Brien's
That's right, it's March, and ushering in a great green beer extravaganza is important too. Downtown has it all on St. Patrick's Day: the river runs green, there's green beer, Irish celebrations, and more. (Bonus: You can hit Mad Dogs British Pub as well.)
Oaks Crossing Restaurant & Bar
There's a real bar in the middle of H-E-B on Wilderness Oak, and it’s rather fabulous. Who knew? No worries if the grocery store is busy! Wait it out with a wine, beer, or cocktail. And there's a patio to boot.
Azuca Nuevo Latino
We love happy hour at Azuca. We also love the party going down every Friday and Saturday night with a band, salsa, and meringue. Oh, and the drinks are great too. Might we suggest the electric mojito? It'll make an exciting night even better.
