This sweet San Antonio spot among 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in U.S.
If you're still looking for a decadent dining spot for Valentine's Day, perhaps this will serve as inspiration. In its annual roundup of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants, users of the reservation site OpenTable named Signature Restaurant at La Cantera one of the sexiest spots in the U.S.
A gorgeous restaurant nestled in the foothills of the Texas Hill Country, Signature's wood-burning fireplace, rich wood accents, and plush seating make it the perfect place to cozy up to your sweetie while dining on chef Andrew Weissman's contemporary takes on classic dishes like lobster pot pie, beef tenderloin, and cioppino shellfish stew.
"Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen, and a warm welcome when you walk in the door," says OpenTable.
Also of note is the restaurant's cocktail menu which features classic drinks such as a Pimm's Cup and Between the Sheets (rum, Pierre Ferrand, curacao, and lemon) alongside modern takes like the Hot Passion (three-pepper tequila, passion fruit, and jalapeno).
This San Antonio gem was one of five Texas restaurants to make the list. In addition to Signature, OpenTable users also ranked Christopher's World Grille in Bryan; Four Winds Steakhouse in Wills Point; Rudy & Paco Restaurant & Bar in Galveston; and Truluck's Seafood in Austin among the most romantic eateries in the U.S.
