Luxurious downtown San Antonio penthouse soars onto the market at sky-high price of $3 million
A downtown San Antonio penthouse that supplies spectacular views of the city is now on the market for $3 million.
The 5,668-square-foot duplex penthouse, in The Alteza at 610 E. Market St., features five bedrooms and six bathrooms. A custom glass stairway connects the two floors of the penthouse.

Amenities of the 33rd- and 34th-floor penthouse, built in 2007, include:
- Rooftop pool.
- 24-hour concierge service.
- Club room for private functions.
- Fitness center.
- Housekeeping.
- Valet parking.
- Room service.
Gordon von Broock of Douglas Elliman Texas has the listing.
In 2013, the penthouse — the largest condo at The Alteza — sold for $2.975 million, The Wall Street Journal says. At the time, it was the most expensive condo ever sold in the city. The Journal identified Paul Boskind, a psychologist, philanthropist, LGBTQ activist, and Tony Award-winning Broadway producer, as the buyer.
In February 2016, Boskind listed the penthouse for $4.5 million. The following month, it was taken off the market. Bexar County records show Boskind still owns the property.
In March, The Journal reported Boskind’s 5,153-square-foot penthouse in New York City’s Midtown Manhattan hit the market for $14 million. He bought it in 2019 for $12.8 million.
Aside from his San Antonio and New York City penthouses, Boskind owns a castle in Ireland.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Boskind graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio and St. Mary’s University. He is president, CEO, and owner of San Antonio-based Deer Creek, a provider of mental-health services.
