Hot Austin 'hoods
San Antonio's hottest neighborhoods for 2019 predicted by real estate authority

It’s no secret that San Antonio is one of the hottest real estate markets in the country; in fact, the local housing market just closed its best selling year ever. Looking ahead, Redfin has revealed its Hottest Neighborhoods of 2019 list, which includes three San Antonio-area neighborhoods to watch.
The neighborhoods below are poised to become “some of the most desirable places in the country in the coming year,” according to Redfin. The nationwide list features three neighborhoods from many of the largest metro areas in the U.S., compiled with Redfin user data and agent insights from November 2018. The site measured metrics such as median sale price in the area compared to metro median, number of days on market, and percent that sold above list price.
Redfin spotlights Beacon Hill, Creekside, and Canyon Lake as the hottest neighborhoods in the greater San Antonio metro area for 2019.
In historic Beacon Hill, homes sell for a median price of $213,264, just slightly below the San Antonio metro median of $220,000. Homes here are on the market for a median of 42 days, and a whopping 46 percent sell above list price.
The most affordable of San Antonio's hot 'hoods is Creekside, where the median home price is just $170,000. Homes here stay on the market for only 26 days, and 36 percent are sold for above list price.
The story's different in Canyon Lake, where the median sale price is $286,000. Homes here are on the market for 80 days, and only 11 percent go above list price.
The nation's overall hottest neighborhoods are mostly located in coastal cities, with Bridle Trails outside of Seattle; Merriewood in Oakland, California; and Mission Terrace in San Francisco taking the top three spots.
