San Antonio's hottest neighborhoods for 2017 might surprise you

Real estate website Zillow has released its predictions for the hottest housing markets of 2017, and while San Antonio didn't make the top 10 — led by Nashville; Seattle; and Provo, Utah — the study did reveal some interesting info about San Antonio. Namely, which metro neighborhoods are on track to see the highest growth this year, and the winners may surprise you.
Home values in Dignowity Hill are expected to jump 8.5 percent in 2017, based on the Zillow Home Value Forecast. The list is rounded out by East Terrell Hills (5.5 percent), Meadow Village (5.3 percent), Lackland Terrace (6.6 percent), and Laddie Place and North Wilson (5 percent).
We gave you a glimpse of Dignowity Hill's rising popularity a few months ago, revealing that the Eastside is experiencing a resurgence, and prospective homebuyers would be wise to keep the area on their radar.
East Terrell Hills is also not a surprise, due to its proximity to sought-after Alamo Heights. Homebuyers have a range of options to choose from in this area, including some beautiful high-end homes.
No matter where you're looking, it's still true that buying is cheaper than renting in San Antonio. Though that certainly may change over the course of the year, prospective homebuyers should keep an eye on these sizzling neighborhoods as they begin or continue their house hunt.
