On the Merch Again
Willie Nelson lends name to very subtle flannel collab
Willie Nelson fans obsessive enough to want to wear the Austin-based singer's name as a label, but fashion-minded enough to make it subtle, have new merch to check out. Nelson and Dixxon Flannel Co. have launched a new limited edition collaboration that literally puts Nelson's name on a custom shirt design — but only in one place where it's really visible.
The all-brown buffalo plaid design features Nelson's name on a small label on the breast pocket (marking a glasses slot), enough that someone might notice in conversation, but certainly not the first thing anyone would see. Even subtler, the buttons all say Nelson's name and Dixxon.

Almost exclusively for the wearer — unless they excitedly point it out — Nelson's name is also on the microfiber lens cloth hidden inside the left corner of the shirt, as well as in the design printed at the back of the neck where a tag would be and on a sticker tag that the new owner would take off before wearing.
The new design comes in men's, women's, and youth sizes ($59.99 for adults, $29.99 for youth).

Dixxon is known for its flannels, which are made with a signature polyester blend. Fans online say they like the durability, and these shirts are marketed for fashion as much as practicality, giving the brand strong name recognition.
Willie Nelson offers plenty of merch in his own shop, although all the current wearable designs are T-shirts, save for one bandana and a hoodie. The new collaboration offers a little more versatility and could be a fun way to layer with other styles.
