SPOOKY SNEAKS
Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama drops spooky Nike sneaker for Halloween

San Antonians will have to wait to see if Victor Wembanyama dresses up as Slender Man again, but his shoes are ready for Halloween. Nike has just released a special edition GT Hustle 3 sneaker with the Spurs’ superstar in a ghoulish pumpkin orange.
On October 21, Nike dropped the latest collab with Wemby, part of its 2025 holiday pack. The shoe turns heads with a bright orange knitted upper accented with spindly root embroidery and comic book black accents. In a nod to the baller’s “Alien” nickname, the signature side Swoosh is an otherworldly green.
Like all of Wemby’s Nike kicks, the new Halloween GT Hustle 3 also has a message to his fans. The two tongues are stitched with one of his favorite mottos, “Be unique every day.”

The power forward has been working with the Oregon-based footwear brand since spring 2024, when he released an Air Zoom GT Hustle 2. The low top is equally fitting for costume parties with details like a galactic swirled toe, a glow-in-the-dark outsole, and a reflective Swoosh inspired by Wemby’s favorite movie, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
The spooky sneaks are now for sale on Nike’s site for a price that may attract a few knowing glances: $210. Still, hypebeasts that want to snag the drop should add it to their cart immediately. Resellers are already hoarding the shoes, selling them for more than twice the manufacturer’s suggested cost.
The Nike shoes are not Wembanyama’s first foray into the fashion world. In February, Louis Vuitton men’s creative director Pharrell appointed him as a house ambassador. While the star was recovering from a blood clot, the brand even supplied him with some convalescent drip — a hospital gown sporting the familiar LV logo.
