San Antonio says 'I do' to first Brilliant Earth jewelry showroom

Brilliant Earth is known for its ethically-sourced diamonds.
San Antonio is saying yes to a new jewelry store known for its ethically sourced diamonds. Brilliant Earth is opening its first Alamo City showroom at 15900 La Cantera Parkway #7790 in the ever-growing Shops of La Cantera.
The San Francisco-based fine jewelry chain has made its name for its corporate principals, using jewels that are either lab-grown or found in conflict-free areas. Several designs also feature recycled metals, and it has a goal to eliminate single-use plastics by 2033.
In 2004, Co-Founder and CEO Beth Gerstein couldn’t find a diamond engagement ring that was ethical, sustainable, and traceable,” explains the store’s site. “She wanted the sparkling symbol of her commitment to represent more than love; the perfect piece would also respect the planet and protect its future.”
Fittingly, Brilliant Earth has a heavy emphasis on wedding and engagement rings, selling sparklers in popular cuts like emerald, princess, and marquise. Although many are ready to take home from the store, the showroom also offers custom services. There’s even a men’s engagement collection that ranges from flashy to understated.
The brand also sets its gems in a variety of other jewelry, like a hydrangea bouquet pendant with blue topaz or a diamond bracelet paying homage to late primatologist Jane Goodall. Aspiring Carrie Bradshaws might want to check out the name necklaces in 15-karat gold.
According to recently filed Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) project details, the owners are looking to finish construction by May 2026. There’s no word yet on the actual opening date. A request for more information was not immediately returned.
Currently, the closest two Brilliant Earth showrooms are in the Domain Northside in Austin and the Montrose Collective in Houston.
The Shops of La Cantera has been busy this fall, scoring the San Antonio debuts of some of America’s most coveted brands. Among the recent gets are furniture stores Crate & Barrel and Arhaus, viral shoemaker Rothy’s, and Free People’s activewear sibling, FP Movement.
