Cult beauty brand blows into Alamo Quarry Market for first San Antonio location
As any Steel Magnolias fan knows, you can't trust anyone who does their own hair. Drybar, the cult California-based beauty brand, is making sure San Antonians don't have to.
On Friday, February 7, the company will blow open the doors to its first-ever San Antonio location at the Alamo Quarry Market, bringing with it a "full bar" of hair services. Unlike traditional salons, Drybar only offers select services, thus in keeping with its motto, "Focus on one thing and be the best at it."
Of course for Drybar, that means blowouts and only blowouts. Clients of the new 1,591-square-foot shop can choose from the company's signature menu of services, ranging from The Straight Up, the brand's signature blowout, to the Southern Comfort, a bigger the hair, closer to God voluminous style.
In addition to blowout services, Drybar also offers Uptinis (updos); hair moisturizing masks; group events; and hair accessories, tools, and products for purchase. Fashionistas ages 10 and under can take advantage of the Shirley Temple for $32.
Like all Drybar locations, the Alamo Quarry location features the brand's signature interiors, "including custom Italian chairs, tufted fabric walls, marble bars with built-in phone docking stations, and flat screens featuring cult favorite chick flicks."
Prices vary by service, but range from a $45 blowout to the $90 Uptini. Additional services such as braids, scalp massage, and hydrating masks are available for an up charge. Monthly memberships are also available.
Appointments must be made in advance and can be booked through the app, website, or by calling 877-379-2279. Once Drybar is officially open at 255 E. Basse Rd., Ste. 910, hours will be Monday through Thursday from 7 am-7 pm, Friday from 7 am-8 pm, Saturday from 8 am-8 pm, and Sunday from 9 am-6 pm.
