The latest production from Cirque du Soleil strikes an electrifying chord at Majestic Theatre. Audiences can enjoy a celebration of country music trailblazers and the music that made them icons. Other highlights include Cirque’s signature acrobatics, aerial acts, and other awesome displays. The production will also feature a new song by Sam Williams, the grandson of Hank Williams and the son of Hank Williams, Jr., respectively. Shows are scheduled through August 25.

San Antonio Current presents Whiskey Business
Mix and sip with local whiskey connoisseurs and guest experts in a spirited ambiance at the Witte Museum. Whiskey Business highlights include sample tastings of top bourbons and whiskeys, interactive seminars, live music, art, local food, and more. Tickets are available on the event website.
Celebration Circle presents Sacred Art of Altars: One People Many Paths opening reception
An exhibition of more than 60 artist-crafted altars debut at San Antonio Art League and Museum. Visitors can explore each artists’ embrace of “nichos” or small shrines, common in Southwestern culture and abroad using an array of media and colors. Reception admission is free and open to the public. The exhibit will be on display through September 13.
Frost Bank Center presents Future and Metro Boomin in concert

Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club presents Ian Fidance
Ian Fidance is the latest special guest to grace the Laugh Out Loud Comedy Club stage for a brief stint. The New York City comedian performs nightly at the Comedy Cellar in New York City’s Greenwich Village and is the host of the podcast Bein’ Ian with Jordan. Shows are scheduled through August 25.
Agarita + Azul Barrientos in concert
Me-Chicana songwriter Azul Barrientos and quartet Agarita present an intimate concert of classical music with an original, contemporary twist. Guests will hear a selection of music that blends both original compositions with older traditions. Admission to this show at Stable Hall is free and open to the public.
