CineFestival
The original San Antonio Latinx film festival returns to fully in-person programming after a hiatus due to the pandemic. The five-day event will feature 80 films mostly from the Lone Star State and U.S. Latinx communities. Selection highlights include the opening night film Juanito’s Lab, food documentary Truly Texas Mexican, and more. Capacity for all screenings is limited to just 200 seats. Bihl Haus Arts presents “Botanical Sensations” opening reception
Be among the first to enjoy Bihl Haus Arts as it reopens to the public with an artist reception for its newest exhibition, “Botanical Sensations.” Guests can explore the botanical and natural-world-inspired works of mother-daughter artists Carmen Oliver and Daniela Oliver de Portillo, who both used their studio practice to heal during the pandemic. The opening reception will feature food, drinks, and paletas served poolside, along with live music by Lucero Villa. Following the reception, the exhibit will be on display through August 14. Admission is free.
Tobin Center for the Performing Arts presents Cinema on Will’s Plaza
Round up a few friends or family members and enjoy a free movie night under the stars at The Plaza at the Tobin Center. This month’s featured Cinema on Will’s Plaza film is the nostalgic Tom & Jerry.
