1. 3 San Antonio hospitals named best in Texas by U.S. News. Methodist Hospital and two more San Antonio medical centers have earned bragging rights in U.S. News & World Report's newly released rankings of the Best Hospitals for 2026-2027.
2. 4 new restaurants to open in booming North San Antonio shopping center. The anticipated Taroko Sports baseball facility is not the only business stepping up to the plate at San Antonio’s Park North. The bustling shopping center says four new restaurants will debut in the coming months.
3. Tim Hortons finally debuts first San Antonio location on North Side. A massive Canadian doughnut and coffee chain has netted its first San Antonio location. After months of anticipation, Tim Hortons is now open in Redland Plaza.

4. San Antonio's Bonham Exchange goes dark amid fire code fallout. The temporary closure began August 1 and is the culmination of a 2018 ordinance that sought to bring the city’s entertainment venues up to international fire code standards.
5. Japanese retailer Uniqlo to open first San Antonio store. North Star Mall has signed on Japanese retailer Uniqlo to open its first San Antonio shop in 2027.
