Swanky San Antonio Pilates studio stretches into St. Paul Square

Neko Pilates brings state-of-the-art fitness to St. Paul Square
A new fitness studio, Neko Pilates, will soon flex its contemporary approach to the celebrity-loved exercise regimen. The women-owned and locally-rooted business will open June 9 at 126 Gonzales St. in the heart of the historic St. Paul Square.
Founded by San Antonio native Jessica Morales, Neko Pilates will offer high-intensity, low-impact exercise for all levels of experience. The center uses Megaformer machines, which can be used to perform hundreds of exercises.
Morales, a certified instructor, built the studio to address a dearth of boutique fitness options on the East Side. The area has few gyms conveniently located for nearby residents and even fewer spots offering specialized classes.
"Opening Neko Pilates inside St. Paul Square is a dream come true," said Morales via a news release. "I've always wanted to create a space where people, especially women, can feel strong, seen, and supported. I'm so proud to bring something fresh and empowering to my hometown."
The studio adds to a growing list of businesses filling up St. Paul Square. In 2025, the district welcomed sports bar Atlee's Rally, comedy venue The Box, and a San Antonio offshoot of Austin's El Tigre Coffee.
"We are thrilled to be part of Jessica's journey and to bring this kind of fresh, forward-thinking wellness concept into the mix at St. Paul Square," said Don Thomas, co-owner of St. Paul Square, in the release. "Neko continues our vision of creating a well-rounded district experience for both residents and visitors while providing even more daytime activities for our guests."
During its soft launch, Neko will offer 25 founding memberships, which include unlimited monthly classes, for $160 — a sharp discount from the usual $210-plus rate. After signing up, workout warriors can head next door to ZenHaus Matcha & Coffee Bar to try a custom collaborative smoothie.
