Massive new $5 million fitness center crunches into San Antonio

The new Crunch Fitness will include a zone dedicated to functional training.
San Antonio’s workout warriors will have a new place to sweat next summer. Crunch Fitness is debuting its newest $5 million, 35,000-square-foot flagship gym model at 4319 Thousand Oaks Dr, bringing Olympic-style fitness to Alamo City.
The North Side complex, owned by Austin-based franchisee The Undefeated Tribe, will roll out the brand’sCrunch 3.0 design, which blends sleeker aesthetics with more training space. As with other Crunch locations, the goal is to make workouts feel a little more like entertainment. Members can expect all the staples, plus a roomy functional training zone.Crunch says its latest San Antonio outpost will have the following amenities.

- Top-quality cardio and strength training equipment
- Power half-hour circuit training
- Personal training
- Olympic lifting platforms
- Group fitness studio
- Hot yoga studio
- Ride cycling classes
- Functional high-impact high-intensity training area with indoor turf

- HydroMassage beds
- Red light therapy
- Kids Crunch babysitting
- Full-service locker rooms with showers and a sauna
The Undefeated Tribe, founded in 2018 by Texas entrepreneur Tony Hartl, has become one of Crunch’s fastest-growing groups, with 41 gyms currently operating and plans to reach 100 across Texas and neighboring states by 2028. The Thousand Oaks gym will be the company’s seventh center in the San Antonio area.

The first 500 sign-ups will pay $1 down, get the first month free, and receive a personal training session and branded swag.
