Veterans Day is a chance for all Americans to take a step back and acknowledge the sacrifices that everyone who has ever served in the military has made for our country, especially in Military City.

In San Antonio, many restaurants and shops will be generously showing their appreciation for veterans and their families with special deals on November 11 (or days surrounding it).

Here's our list of the deals they're offering to help military families save a few dollars. This list will be updated regularly as news of more deals comes in.

Unless otherwise stated, all deals are solely for veterans and active-duty military with a valid ID.

• 7 Brew Coffee: The coffee chain, which has four locations around San Antonio, will offer 50 percent off all drinks on November 11.
• Andy's Frozen Custard: The frozen custard chain, which has four locations in the San Antonio area, will offer a free regular-sized, one-topping sundae on November 11.
• Applebee's: The casual restaurant chain, which has nine locations throughout the San Antonio metro area, will offer a free meal on November 11. They can also get a free Budweiser, Bud Light, or Budweiser Zero as part of the "Buy A Hero A Bud" program, although the free beer is dependent on the number of Folds of Honor beers bought by guests for veterans prior to Veterans Day. Any unclaimed funds for pre-purchased Buds will be donated to Folds of Honor, which provides scholarships to families of America's fallen or disabled military as well as families of America's first responders.
• BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse: The casual restaurant chain, which has four locations in San Antonio, will offer a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie® with any dine-in purchase of $11.95 or more on November 11. Additionally, veterans will receive a bounce-back coupon for a free appetizer, good anytime between November 12 and December 31. It can be used for dine-in or take-out and is redeemable with a purchase of $14.95 or more.
• Blaze Pizza: The pizza chain, which has six locations around San Antonio, will offer a free one-topping pizza on November 11.
• Bombshells: The military-themed bar and breastuarant is offering free meals for veterans and and 20-percent discount to active military at its San Antonio location. Alcohol is not included.
• Charleys Cheesesteaks: The cheesesteak chain, which has over 14 locations around San Antonio, will offer a free regular-sized Gourmet Fry on November 11.
• Chili's: Participating locations are serving a free meal from a limited menu, dine-in only.
• Chipotle Mexican Grill: The fast casual Mexican food chain, which has six locations in San Antonio, will offer a buy one, get one free deal on entrées on November 11. The deal is only good for those who order in-restaurant; app orders do not apply. The deal is not good at Chipotlane locations.
• Cicis Pizza: The pizza chain, which has five locations in San Antonio, will offer a free adult buffet on November 11. The deal is good for dine-in only and does not include a drink.
• Cracker Barrel: The homestyle restaurant, which has five locations in the San Antonio area, is offering a free Sunrise Pancake Special.
• Dave & Buster's: The entertainment complex, which has two locations in San Antonio, will offer a free entrée (up to $20 value) and a $10 Power Card on November 11. In addition to the Veterans Day offer, Dave & Buster’s provides an evergreen 15 percent discount on food and non-alcoholic beverages for veterans and active military year-round.
• Dog Haus: The hot dog restaurant chain, which has only one location around San Antonio, will offer a free Haus Dog on November 11. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• Firehouse Subs: The sandwich chain, which has nine locations around San Antonio, will offer buy-one-get-one free for any size sub on November 11.
• Freight Fried Chicken: The veteran-owned chicken restaurant is offering a two-piece meal deal with one side for $10
• Golden Corral: Buffet chain, which has three locations around San Antonio, will offer a free "thank you" buffet and beverage on November 11 from 4 pm to close.
• The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill: Greek restaurant chain, which currently has one location in San Antonio (with three more on the way), will offer 25 percent off all gyros and gyro combo meals on November 11.
• Grimaldi's Pizzeria: The pizza chain, which has two locations in San Antonio, will offer 25 percent off on November 10 and 11. If you can't make it on Veterans Day, they offer 15 percent off for veterans every day of the year.
• The Jerk Shack: The acclaimed restaurant is offering the same $10 two-piece meal deal as its sibling restaurant, Freight Fried Chicken.
• Kolache Factory: The kolache restaurant, which has one location in the San Antonio area, will offer one free kolache and any size coffee on November 11. Offer excludes croissants, Polish varieties, and espresso drinks.
• Kona Grill: The upscale casual restaurant chain, which has two locations in San Antonio, will offer a free entrée up to a $75 value on November 11.
• La Madeleine: The casual French restaurant chain, which has four locations around Dallas-Fort Worth, will offer a free entrée on November 11.
• Logan's Roadhouse: The casual restaurant chain, which has one location in San Antonio, will offer a free lunch from 11 am to 3 pm at participating Logan's locations on November 11. Guests can choose from a special menu of fan favorites that includes a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, a pork chop, and more. Contact the preferred location for the availability of the deal.
• Maple Street Biscuit Company: The casual Southern cafe chain, which has three locations in San Antonio, will offer 10 percent off on November 11.
• MOD Pizza: The pizza chain, which has seven locations throughout San Antonio, will offer 50 percent off a MOD-size pizza or salad on November 11.
• Ojos Locos Sports Cantina: The Mexican food chain, which has two locations in San Antonio, will offer 20 percent off all food items on November 11.
• Outback Steakhouse: The steak chain, which has four locations around San Antonio, will offer a free Aussie 3-Course Meal on November 11. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• Parry's Pizzeria & Taphouse: The pizza chain, which has four locations around San Antonio, will offer free entrée options on November 11.
• Perry's Steakhouse & Grille: The steakhouse chain, which has one location in San Antonio, will offer a free dinner-cut pork chop on November 11 from 4 pm to close when accompanied by a guest purchasing one dinner entrée. If dining alone or with other veterans, veterans will receive a dinner-cut pork chop for half off the original price. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• PF Chang's: The fast-casual Chinese food chain, which has two locations in San Antonio, will offer free lunch on November 11 from 11 am to 3 pm. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• Pluckers Wing Bar: The chicken wing chain, which has five locations in San Antonio, will offer a free meal, including an entrée, side, and non-alcoholic beverage (up to $16 value) on November 11. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• Savvy Sliders: The burger chain, which has one location in San Antonio, will offer one free Original or Fried Chicken Slider on November 11. The deal is good for dine-in only.
• Sleep Number: The mattress retailer, which has three locations around San Antonio, will offer 10 percent off the entire purchase, November 4-17. The deal is stackable with other offers.
• Smoothie King: The smoothie chain, which is everywhere around the San Antonio area, is giving away free 20-ounce smoothies from 12-3 pm on November 11. The deal includes three patriotic picks: Strawberry X-Treme (red), Slim-N-Trim Vanilla (white), and Blueberry Heaven (blue).
• Starbucks: The coffee chain, which has locations everywhere, will offer a free tall (12 fl oz) brewed coffee (hot or iced) at participating stores on November 11.

• Twin Peaks: The breastaurant chain, which has three locations around San Antonio, will offer a free lunch (11 am-3 pm) from a select menu on November 11.
• Walgreens: The drugstore chain, which is everywhere around San Antonio, will offer a 20 percent discount on regularly priced products, November 8-11.
• Whataburger: The fast food chain, which is all over the San Antonio area, will offer a free cup of coffee every day and a free taquito every Tuesday during breakfast until December 30.
