OPENING ALERT
Teriyaki chain opens new San Antonio restaurant with red-hot deals

Teriyaki Madness guests can score $6 bowls on opening day.
Denver-based Teriyaki Madness is marking a major milestone in San Antonio. The fast-casual Japanese bowl chain will debut its 200th restaurant at 18410 Highway 281 N. on December 19, capping off a record-breaking year of 47 openings nationwide with giveaways and steep discounts.
The San Antonio outpost is the second restaurant operated by local franchisees Daniel Gifford and Gilbert Vergara. The brand has found a loyal audience in Alamo City for its budget-friendly bowls built around marinated chicken, steak, salmon, or tofu, paired with rice or noodles, vegetables, and tangy sauces.
“San Antonio knows good food and good people, which is exactly why Teriyaki Madness has been so loved here,” he says in a statement. “Opening the 200th location in my own backyard makes the glaze even sweeter — and we’re ready to kick off the celebration with a whole lot of protein-packed teriyaki.”
To celebrate the franchise benchmark, Teriyaki Madness is planning a blow-out party. On December 19 and 20, guests can score $6 chicken teriyaki bowls. And the first five customers in line on opening day will receive free Teriyaki Madness for a year, while the next 20 will get a free month. Check the small print for terms and conditions.
Additional giveaways include limited-edition T-shirts, stickers, and a Golden Fork-Chop prize hidden among envelopes handed out to early customers, with one winner walking away with a swag pack and a $200 gift card.
“Two hundred shops is no small feat, and it’s a testament to how much demand there is for fresh and healthy ingredients, generous portions, gluten-free sauces, and the kind of energy our shops bring to a neighborhood,” said Jodi Boyce, chief marketing officer of Teriyaki Madness, in a statement.
