Healthy quick-service chain bowls over San Antonio with 2nd location

A second shared location of Frutta Bowls and Saladworks will open in May.
San Antonio will get another healthy dining option this May as a second combo location of Saladworks and Frutta Bowls opens at 19141 Stone Oak Pkwy #108. The sibling concepts specialize in superfood-filled treats, grain bowls, wraps, and other lighter fare.
The Stone Oak outpost is the second Alamo City location for both concepts. Parent company Woworks opened its first shared storefront for the restaurants in the Los Patio development in the fall of 2024.
First founded in 1986, Saladworks has around 150 U.S. and Canadian locations. Like contemporaries Sweetgreen and Salad and Go, it serves customizable salads and wraps along with paninis and soups.
Woworks acquired Frutta Bowls in late 2020, building on the natural connection between the two concepts by opening combined locations. In addition to serving açai, pitaya, and kale bowls, the plant-based snack shop offers smoothies, toasts, and whey-based protein bites.
According to a franchise rep, the Stone Oak location will be the first for operator Tiffany Tostado under the LLC JKM Elite Venture. The locations are known for a relaxed, cafe-like atmosphere while still providing quick service.
Though the rep cautioned that the opening date is not yet set in stone, the team is shooting for a May 8 debut. Once open, the twin concepts will have introductory hours of 9 am-8 pm, Monday through Saturday, and 10 am-6 pm, Sunday. Locals can follow along the location's progress on social media.
