Famed Korean bakery chain whips up new café in Stone Oak

Paris Baguette is heading to Stone Oak.
Bakery chain Paris Baguette is going all in on San Antonio. Barely a month after revealing a second Alamo City location, the globally popular South Korean sweets shop is building a third café at 20135 Stone Oak Pkwy in the Stone Oak Mercantile shopping center.
The franchise is a relative newcomer to San Antonio, but it is an international phenomenon with more than 4,000 locations. Paris Baguette made its U.S. debut in Los Angeles in 2005 and opened its first local café next door to downtown’s Gunter Hotel in December 2025.
Unlike bakery chains like La Madeleine or local favorite La Pandería, Paris Baguette has a more grab-and-go model. While there is usually seating, customers can select pastries from self-serve cases and quickly head out the door.
The menu reflects its international audience. Although it sells pain au chocolat, palmiers, and croissants, it’s not exactly a French bakery. One is just as likely to find Hawaiian mochi doughnuts, Japanese milk bread, and light Asian-style cakes.
Many of the locations offer lunchtime staples such as breakfast sandwiches, tuna melts, and ham and cheese baguettes. Savory pastries include crab croquettes, pepperoni pizzetas made with laminated dough, quiches, and pig-in-a-blanket-style franks wrapped in flaky pastry.
According to a recent Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing, Paris Baguette expects to wrap up renovations in October. Another location, at 5518 N. 1604 W. in the Landmark North shopping center, is expected to be completed by August.
